TV: Sherlock

0 Thoughts / Comments / Views
The BBC adaptation of Sherlock Holmes called Sherlock is, by far, the best i have ever seen.

This version of Sherlock is set in modern times. To me that is the biggest reason for you watch this show in the first place...  I can't imagine any other character fitting into our world so beautifully.

Benedict Cumberbatch plays Sherlock like he was Sherlock in a previous birth. Martin Freeman plays Watson and is the perfect foil for the mad, charismatic Sherlock.

And yes, Cumberbatch grows on you... that you can't imagine anyone else ever playing this character. And after i think 2 episodes i began to realize that the man is smokin' hot!

Watch Sherlock... it's a very intelligent and interesting show.

Ram - Leela

2 Thoughts / Comments / Views

Is it crazy that i am loving this song Ram Chahe Leela from Ram-Leela so much right now that i am listening to it on loop?

Well, it is definitely crazy that i think Priyanka Chopra looks smokin' hot in the song!! And that tattoo on her rib cage... just below her... er... umm... blouse... ooooh! *Sigh* It's gorgeous! Like truly killer.

Ok. I am going to stop now. Watch the video if you haven't already. Enjoy!

PS: Regular / non-crazy programming will resume from the next post on.

XOXO

Afterthought: You can hurl all the brickbats you want at Sanjay Leela Bhansali but he definitely makes all the ladies in his films look amazing.

Patrick Dempsey aka Dr Derek Shepherd

I have been od'ing on Grey's Anatomy since sometime now and i thought this man was hot. He just touched the smokin' hot burn meter today when i saw him dance on the 11th Episode of Season 5.

Everyone on the series always talks about his hair... but for me... it's his eyes. Oooh, those dreamy, dreamy eyes.

It's another month already. The weather's changed, for the better, thankfully. Here's wishing you a better month too.

XOXO

Handsome Kumar :)

2 Thoughts / Comments / Views

I don't usually watch cricket... and after the last expose on match-fixing, i almost totally stopped. But yesterday, at a friend's house while having a cup of tea, i caught a glimpse of this man and couldn't take my eyes off him... he is really so darn cute. One of the best looking cricketers on the field, i'd say!

How many of you think he is Smokin' Hot? Apparently he also speaks rather well too...

{Sangakkara}

PS: I had a HUGE crush on Sunil Gavaskar while growing up, like the i-want-to-marry-him when i get older kinds. Then for a time i liked Anil Kumble (i still do). My other favorites are Daniel Vettori and Kevin Pieterson. Who's you favorite cricket star and would you watch a match just to see your favorite on-field?

The only seats that are available are in the first two rows and i am not going to watch this film sitting so close to the screen. Does anyone know anyone and help me snag 2 tickets. I will be extremely grateful of you help me out on this.

Happy Birthday to You

0 Thoughts / Comments / Views
He is one of those men who makes my jaw drop, stomach do weird floppity things... and make me go mmmmm.

Looking at him can also make my mood a lot better and make me feel like i am 16 again.

Happy Birthday Mr. Downey.

I am definitely going to raise a toast to that tonight.

Mad Men love

0 Thoughts / Comments / Views
I am on an Internet plan that gives me very less data usage and i haven't been able to catch up with all the episodes of this season... so i hog all the other stuff about it - articles, quizzes, reviews, discussions etc... and while the article where i found this pic is good, this pic is something else altogether. Smokin Hot!

Not sleeping enough, travelling long distance and moonlighting, and tripping

0 Thoughts / Comments / Views
Insomnia: The last couple of days nights have been wretched.  I sleep late, wake up all woozy and then don't feel like doing much except going back to sleep (which doesn't happen).

Travelling long distance and moonlighting: I have been travelling to Hitec City everyday. That's about 15 kilometres one-way. I am, of course, having a tough time finding autos. Since i am so zoned out, i dont even consider driving. And why am i going there? I am working freelance for an e-learning company putting to use my rudimentary Spanish skills and getting better at it.

Tripping: I was so tired today, i could barely stand. So i decided to meet a friend, catch up and unwind. A bottle of beer and lots of old hindi film music worked its magic and here i am, typing away. And it's way past midnight. And i am not zoned out. Yay to friends, music and beer.

And now the explanation for the pic: Even though i don't think it needs one! I was listening to some of my fav songs and he featured in two of them. And i couldn't stop staring... he was such a looker, wasn't he? Smokin hot, totally. While listening to this, i was also hoping it would rain soon!

With all this busy-ness, i couldn't blog yesterday and most likely this will be my only post for the 29th. I also may not be able to post much until Monday (work tomorrow and family stuff for the next 4 days is going to keep my busy).

I hope you are having fun and missing me. :D

Take time to leave me a note and say hello.

Much love,
Me

Reveal: What did your favorite celeb look like, when they were younger?

Fergie and Robert Downey Jr.

And if you are wondering what i am talking about, i am talking about this post here.

Seriesly: Mad men's back!

Are you also waiting for Mad Men (Season 5) to begin?

You know i irritated Arundati by talking about it for hours on end, till she finally gave up and watched it. If you haven't watched Season 1-4 of Mad Men already, then you have to (or i will keep talking about it here on my blog and irritate you all!).

Mad Men is based on a set of crazy people who work in advertising in the 60s. In fact, it is not very different from what advertising is now. (the other A runs an ad agency, so i know!)

So we have Jon Ham, who is smokin' hot. And the women are not skinny, au contraire they are very curvy (so your body image will not take a thrashing). The set design and styling is fabulous and totally authentic looking. And then there is Christina Hendricks who plays Joan; she is THE babe, the one who can do anything nonchalantly and confidently... totally love her!

{Mad Men stuff posted previously on my blog - here, here and here. And the recipe for old-fashioned, Don Draper's regular cocktail, here}

Paan Singh Tomar

0 Thoughts / Comments / Views
We caught a late-night show of Paan Singh Tomar last night at a pretty lousy cinema close to home where they didn't switch on the AC, just the blower (made for a stale-stinky environment), the screen was too far and the audio crappy. Yet i enjoyed the movie which speaks volumes about Paan Singh Tomar.

Irrfan Khan plays the title role of a man employed in the army and an award-winning athlete whose circumstances force him to become a baaghi (rebel).

Irrfan's portrayal of PST is superb and he carries the film on his shoulders effortlessly. He is equally convincing as the sportsman as well as the dreaded baaghi. His deadpan humour and comic timing make for the much-needed light moments in the film.

Mahie Gill plays his wife brimming fire and brimstone, and manages to leave an impression even in a bit role.

The movie is directed by Tigmanshu Dhulia who has done a great job with the narrative, keeping your interested and entertained from the word go, yet keeping it real, in the way the movie looks and the characters look, dress and talk.

Go watch it. In a good cinema hall please.

PS: I think Irrfan is smokin hot. I remember watching him in Rog in a cinema years ago and being completely mesmerized with his eyes. His eyes, they have a conversation with me.

The Artist

0 Thoughts / Comments / Views
Synopsis: The Artist is a love story set in 20's Hollywood. George Valentin (Jean Dujardin) is the hero, the heartthrob of millions, who falls from grace when silent films give way to the talkies. On the other hand, Peppy Miller (Berenice Bejo) rises from obscurity to become the shining star of the industry.

Fellow dog lovers: you have to watch The Artist. Uggie, the four legged actor, for me, was the star of the film. He is really that adorable.

For the others: The Artist is much like the hero - strong and silent. You probably already know that it is a black and white silent movie, set in Hollywood of the 20s and 30s. Enough to put you off from going to see it, right? It's just the reason i will recommend that you watch it.

With no dialogs to distract (just a few placards here and there), The Artist, with it's brilliant acting, is a treat for the eyes. And if like me, you like to look at the sets, the costumes, the things that make an era what it is, then you have that as well. And then there is Uggie. I know you are not a dog lover and all, but Uggie will steal your heart. Really.

{photos from}
{Get the bones on Uggie herehere, here and here}

PS: Jean Dujardin is smokin HOT. More on that soon :D

PPS: The other A and i can never get anywhere on time, sadly. We are always chasing trains, planes and deadlines. We missed the first fifteen minutes of the movie and we know we are going to go see this film again. Can't wait for that :D (And hope to God that there is no one near who finds it necessary to describe each and every scene and plot development!)

Singham starring Ajay Devgn

0 Thoughts / Comments / Views
We were to go watch Transformers 3 last night but we settled for Singham on Showcase. We got lazy, but then Sundays are meant to be lazy, aren't they?.

We had a rollicking time laughing at the inane dialogues and the crazy action sequences. It's an action movie that's a whole lot fun; a typical potboiler with zany, filmy dialogues and everything's over-the-top.

Ajay Devgn's sculpted body, rippling muscles et al and the intense look in his eyes... ooh! I could watch Singham again just for that. He is truly the star of the movie carrying it ably on his broad, strong shoulders. (Sorry, i just can't stop gushing.)

I only wish we had seen it in on the big screen so i could scream, whistle and hoot. (I do it all the time. I have even carried a whistle for Om Shanti Om, the rest of the times, the other A whistles-on-request coz i am no good at it.)

I'd rate it A - Awesome Fun.

PS:  Here's a vdo of some of the dialogues.

Salman Khan's Ready

0 Thoughts / Comments / Views

Now, when the man is 47 do i go and fall in love with him. Call me mad.

So we go catch the first day's second show of Ready
My parents, The other A's mother, his brother and wife
and child and of course, Raam. Yeah, 9 of us.
The movie may be boring, pretty much so,
but then did i really go to watch the movie?
Just looking at him on screen was good enough.

Oh, btw, i dint realize the drinks and munchies were so cheap at CinePlanet.
Rs.15 for Popcorn and Rs. 10 for a bottle of water.
I still can't get over it. :D

PS: Guess who's going to be on Smokin' Hot this Monday then?

It's sweltering hot

0 Thoughts / Comments / Views
Aru just shared this with me. Mamma mia! Jon Hamm looks hotter here than in Mad Men. And i always (mistakenly) thought that it's Mad Men that makes him look good.

And he even looks cuter with a beard...
i never said this, did i? i have a thing for men who have a beard and a moustache... do you too?
Have a super cool day, people :)
