Special 26

I finally ended my movie drought with a show of Special 26 last night.

Special 26 is a movie you should go see. Even though this one is not as brilliant as Neeraj Pandey's first - A Wednesday; it is a good film to watch.

Ajay (Akshay Kumar) and his gang of conmen swindle the rich and the infamous by posing as the CBI, conducting raids on their premises, seizing their money and jewelry and coolly walking away. The real CBI eventually wakes up to this series of swindles and begins a hunt to catch the conmen.

Anupam Kher as one of Akshay's henchmen is superb, so is Manoj Tiwari whose very presence on screen lights it up. I wish there had been more of Divya Dutta on screen though.

Without the silly and unbelievable romance between Akshay Kumar and Kajal Agarwal and the 2 songs, Special 26 would have been even more special. While the sets and art direction are impressive; the costumes and styling of the star seem to have been neglected.

Go watch it, if you haven't already.
