Wall color + Homemade Art

This pic is here not just because i love the black white and maroon combo. That is one of the reasons, yes. But more because of the lovely wall art hanging there which is actually a piece of fabric that's been framed. Really awesome, right?

What i learnt from looking at this room:
One. Paint one wall in a really deep color to jazz things up - Maroon / Navy / Dark Green. Don't be afraid :D
Two. Go natural with cane and earth colors.
Three. Instead of 3 or 4 or 5 pieces of art, hang one statement piece. Yes, BIG is beautiful.

PS: You don't even need to know how to paint to create your own piece of art. All it takes is a little bit of daring. You might not nail it the first time. Or you might. Go ahead and give it a try.
