Up and away: The story of the flying house

In Pixar's animated film Up, 78-year old Carl ties balloons to his house to fly away and fulfill his long-cherished dream of travelling to South America, after his wife's death. Last March, National Geographic, tried to do this for real... make a flyaway house. And they surprisingly, succeeded! Hurrah!

{See more pictures here and the video here. It's magic. After all, normally movies and books are inspired by real life and not the other way around.}

PS: Wouldn't it be just so wonderful to just fly away - house and all?
