Eggless Buttermilk Cheddar Biscuits

When friends come visiting i entertain them by directing them to the kitchen so we can bake goodies together in the oven that we borrow from other friends.
We made Buttermilk Cheddar Biscuits that tasted heavenly, but not quite like the biscuits i have had before (translated to not quite crisp but more like buns.)
We got the recipe on the net but adapted it a bit.

Buttermilk Cheddar Biscuits / Buns

Preheat oven to 210 degree C.
Combine 3 cups all-purpose flour, 4 tsp baking powder,
1 tsp baking soda, 2tbsp sugar, ½ tsp salt in large bowl.
Cut ¾ cup chilled butter into little pieces and mix till you get sand like consistency.
Add ½ cup chopped coriander, 2 tbsp chilli flakes. Mix
Add 1 cup grated cheese and 1 cup buttermilk.
Mix till moistened.
Drop about ¼ cup  blobs on baking sheet, spacing 2 inches apart.
Bake at 210 degree C for fifteen minutes till top is golden brown on colour.
Wait for it cool before you dig in.

If you end up making this, do let me know whether it turned out crisp!

Update: Biscuits in America are like this only. What we call biscuits, they call cookies....
